A 20-minute show about anything, with your music in between.
Say what you want to hear. We write it, voice it and play it.
Coming soon to iPhone and Android. 18 and over.

From a sentence to a show

How it works
You say it. We build it. Music in the breaks.
You say it.
Tap the words of a sentence, or write or dictate your own: what it’s about, how long, the style, the music, and when. Your phone’s own speech recognition does the listening.
We build it.
Podoyo researches your topics on the web, writes the show, and two hosts read it aloud. Where it found sources, the show shows them.
Music in the breaks.
Instrumental music Podoyo makes itself, from its own servers, with no music account. On iPhone you can choose Apple Music instead.
A 20-minute calm bulletin about world news and the markets, with random music in between. Ready now.
Every underlined word is a blank. Tap one to change it, or say the whole thing in your own words.
What you get
What’s in the app.
Four formats
Pick a bulletin or a conversation, or ask in your own words and Podoyo can make a story or a podcast too.
On a schedule
Set days and times, and the show is ready when you want it.
Sources shown
Where Podoyo found sources, the show lists them. Segments without sources come from the model’s own knowledge.
Share a show
Make a link. It lives 30 days, anyone with it can listen, and you can revoke it. A story made for the little ones cannot be shared.
Line them up
Play all your new shows, or on Earlier shows tap the ones you want in the order you want to hear them. Up next shows what follows.
Free stories
Classic public-domain tales, read aloud in six languages with pictures and animation. They do not use your minutes, and you can change the narrator from the Player.
A story for the little ones
A story has its own steps and is not one of the four formats. You choose an age band (3–5, 6–8 or 9–12), what it is about, a narrator and, if you like, quiet background music, pictures and short video scenes. It is told start to finish with no music breaks. The length you choose is an aim. Pictures and video scenes use your minutes.
Listen offline
Download a show and it plays without a connection, with Podoyo’s music and a story’s pictures and video. Apple Music breaks still need a connection.
Change the music
Want different music in a finished show? Change it from the Player without making the show again.
In the car
Your shows appear on the dashboard, on Android Auto and on CarPlay.
Six languages
Podoyo speaks English, German, Turkish, Spanish, French and Portuguese. So does this site.
Read along
On the Player the show’s text scrolls along with it, and one tap takes you back to the part you are hearing.
Where things stand
Podoyo is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. It is not in either store yet.
The free tier includes a monthly allowance of talk minutes (the spoken part; music does not count), a daily number of shows and a maximum show length. The app shows the current numbers. The free tier shows ads. Premium, which raises the allowance, allows longer shows and removes ads, is not on sale yet, so there are no prices here.
Shows are made by AI and can be wrong or out of date. Check anything important before you rely on it, and do not rely on a show for news, money, health, legal or safety decisions.
Podoyo is for people 18 and over. A story for the little ones is made by an adult, on that adult’s own account.
Questions
Is Podoyo in the App Store or on Google Play?
Not yet. It is coming soon to both, and the links will be on this page the day it is there.
What does it cost?
There is a free tier with a monthly allowance of talk minutes, a daily number of shows and a maximum show length; the app shows the current numbers. The free tier shows ads. Premium and minute packs are not on sale yet, so there are no prices to show.
Are the shows accurate?
They are made by AI from web sources found at the moment the show is made. Where there are sources, the show lists them; some segments come from the model’s own knowledge. AI can be wrong or out of date either way. Do not rely on a show for news, money, health, legal or safety decisions.
Where does the music come from?
It is instrumental music Podoyo generates itself, served from its own servers. No music account is needed. On iPhone you can choose Apple Music instead in Settings; it plays from your own subscription.
Which languages does it speak?
English, German, Turkish, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
Can Podoyo tell the little ones a bedtime story?
Yes, in all six languages. An adult makes it on their own account. It has its own steps and is not one of the four formats. You choose an age band (3–5, 6–8 or 9–12), what the story is about, a length and a narrator, and Podoyo tells it start to finish with no music breaks. The length is an aim. You can add quiet background music, pictures and short video scenes; pictures and video use your minutes. It cannot be shared with a link. There is no field for a name, and you do not need to give one.
What are the free stories?
Classic public-domain tales, ready to play in all six languages, with pictures and animation. They are labeled by age, they do not use your minutes, and you can change the narrator from the Player.
How long is a show kept?
The script and the audio are deleted seven days after a show is made. The show itself, with its title, date, length, parts and the sentence you wrote, stays in your history until you delete your account. A share link lives 30 days, and the audio stays while it works. A story’s pictures and video go with its audio. A show you downloaded stays on your phone until you remove it, or until we no longer hold the show. Free stories are not deleted.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. To delete, tap the account icon at the top of the home screen, then Delete account. It happens immediately and cannot be undone. For a copy of everything held about you, write to us and we will send you one file.
Who makes Podoyo?
